What it was.
Baroness Manzila Uddin hosted the evening in Room G of the House of Lords on 23 April 2024, during London Games Festival month. The festival brings over 100,000 visitors and around 400 developers to the city each spring.
The question for the night was where games are heading: who makes them, who funds them, and what policy has to do with it. The speakers came from Creative Assembly, Roblox, Eros Investments, Shell, AI and Games and a run of independent studios and founders.
Wharf Street Studios put the programme together. Our founder, Venkatesh Krishnamurthy, was one of the speakers.
