The WAVES Cosplay Championship 2025, powered by EpikoCon and presented by Creator Street, concluded with tremendous success at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. As a key highlight of WAVES 2025, the event brought together a vibrant community of cosplayers from India and beyond, united by their shared passion for anime, comics, mythology, and video games. The championship was held in association with the Media & Entertainment Association of India, Indian Comics Association, Forbidden Verse, and TVAGA.
WAVES Cosplay championship delivered a dynamic blend of global pop culture and Indian storytelling. From anime icons to mythological legends, participants brought a rich spectrum of characters to life through intricately crafted costumes, compelling performances, and original interpretations. The event served not only as a competitive platform but also as a celebration of cultural exchange and creative storytelling.
Finalists representing diverse regions and backgrounds dazzled the audience with reimagined portrayals of mythological icons and iconic characters from anime, manga, and video games. Their incredible craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commanding stage presence created an unforgettable experience for fans and judges alike.
The esteemed judging panel featured Venkatesh Krishna Murthy Founder of EpikoCon, former Ruhi Singh, Miss India and ICA brand ambassador , and international cosplayers Biman and Sisilia from Indonesia — each bringing their unique perspective and expertise to the evaluation process.
As a surprise showcase, Epiko Con unveiled five of its iconic characters from the Epiko Regal universe, brought to life by talented guest cosplayers. The portrayals of Veera, Bheema, Shakuni, Satyaki, and Ghatotkacha featured intricate detailing and powerful stage presence, adding a memorable dimension to the championship and celebrating the richness of Indian culture and history through contemporary cosplay.
